Kim Lowes, a resident of Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada, spent 25 years working summers in Northern Ontario at a residential children's camp. Throughout this time, he developed his love of nature and was able to pursue his enjoyment of photography part time.
Since his retirement in 2005, Kim has dedicated himself to his passion and this has taken him to destinations throughout the world. Of note are his trips to China, Nepal, Australia, Botswana, England, Mexico, and the United States. |
During his travels, he has photographed many species of birds, wildlife and special cultural events. Photographic trips, with other experienced photographers, have enhanced his skills and interests, but he believes there is no substitute for being in the field learning from ones successes and failures.
Kim has exhibited in galleries in Canada and the United States, and government offices. He has won numerous awards at local camera clubs and juried shows, and has been published in brochures, magazines, and newspapers. Presently, his photographs are hanging in private collections in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.
Kim Lowes' goal is simple; to capture images of emotion and life by understanding your subject, and sharing this knowledge with the viewer.
